Baked Squash and Apples

Perfect for a brisk fall day. You’ll for sure want to use a vegetable peeler to pare the squash, learn from my mistakes and don’t use a knife.
Baked Squash and Apples

Ingredients
- 2 pounds butternut squash
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 tbls flour
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 2 apples, cored and thinly sliced
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees f.
- Cut squash in half, removed seeds, and peel. Cut into 1/2 inch slices.
- Mix brown sugar, butter, flour, salt, and nutmeg.
- Arrange squash in a large baking dish and top with apple slices.
- Sprinkle mixture over top.
- Cover with foil and cook 50 – 60 min or until squash is tender.
